Minimum system requirements for the stand-alone, the client, and the server

Technical data

MultiPress is a cross-platform application, which means that it can be used on Apple Macintosh as well as on Windows. There are two versions, a stand-alone application (one user) and a server version (multiple users). For more information about the underlying database, please go to www.4d.com

From 32 bits to 64 bits

More information on this page!

The minimum system requirements for the standalone, the client, and the server can be found below. These requirements apply to version 5.2.xx (Version 4Dv18). Please bear in mind that the hardware requirements depend on the size of the database and the number of connected users. We recommend using SSDs for optimal performance.

Support Windows 7

From 14 January 2020, Microsoft discontinued its support for Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 and Windows 7, which means that MultiPress will no longer be tested, developed, or technically supported for Windows 7.

Dataline can no longer guarantee that MultiPress will work correctly on Windows 2008 R2 Server and Windows 7.

The MultiPress software will continue to work in this environment even after 14 January 2020 but, after this date, customers and users are responsible for the performance, security, and stability of Dataline’s products and services on devices with Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

Computers with Windows 7 will no longer receive security updates and
are therefore more vulnerable to security risks and viruses. It is important to upgrade to a more recent operating system such as Windows 10 so that the correct security updates and appropriate data protection can be guaranteed.

Please also note that support for Internet Explorer on Windows 7 devices was also discontinued at the same time, which may have an impact on the web-based products offered by MultiPress.
