What about my existing MultiPress data?
Existing data is fully migrated to the cloud environment. Dataline plans the migration carefully to minimise disruption to production. Historical data, customer data, quotations, invoices, everything remains available as before.
Can I still use local printers and JDF workflows?
Yes. Via a secure VPN connection, MultiPress Cloud integrates seamlessly with local production resources. Printer redirection via RDP makes direct printing possible to any printer in your production environment. JDF-based workflows operate fully through the VPN tunnel.
What happens if my internet connection fails?
MultiPress Cloud requires an internet connection for access. In the event of a brief internet outage, production can often continue because local systems, prepress and presses, operate independently. For companies with critical dependency, we recommend redundant internet connections, Dual WAN. Your data remains secure in the cloud and is accessible again as soon as the connection is restored.
How long does migration from on-premise to cloud take?
A typical migration takes 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the current setup. Dataline plans the migration in phases to prevent disruption to production. Employees are trained, test phases ensure validation, and go-live takes place in consultation. Downtime is minimised as much as possible.
