3Motion chooses MultiPress as the administrative backbone of their business

3Motion is a successful print media company specialising in visual communication. Since 2022, their production has been supported with MultiPress ERP/MIS. Here's what to remember about this Belgian print perfectionist.

A real powerhouse

Ten years ago, 3Motion was founded by Femke and her husband Wouter. It was a bold leap into limbo but, in retrospect, it certainly turned out to be the right decision. A few years later, Gerd, Wouter's brother, also joined and it became a true family business.

Through hard work and well-considered choices, the company grew into what it is today: a team of almost 50 employees processing an impressive amount of large format print jobs every day.

Expanded machinery and product range

In January 2022, the 3Motion team moved into their new premises. That move was not only a physical move, but also a complete shift in their way of working: they started working with MultiPress. The 3Motion robotised machinery is impressive: they have several large-format printers (including the INCA ONSET HS X1, JETI TAURO H2500 LED and ANAPURNA H3200I), a large 3D printer (MASSIVIT 1800) to finishing machines. Their production is obviously versatile: in addition to standard large format products such as displays, banners and signage, among others, 3Motion also offers 3D printed products. Their speciality, however, remains cardboard, both on corrugated board and honeycomb board.

In short, they know how to innovate. With the right talent in-house, extensive machinery and product range, they offer their customers a full-range service. From layout to production, delivery and assembly at the customer's site. 3Motion takes care of the complete printing process.

Ready for the future?

However, this complex process required increasingly more time and effort. 3Motion continued to innovate over the years and so has already taken major steps to make their printing process as efficient as possible. Among other things, they already use Enfocus Switch. But that efficiency could still be maximised.

Femke Helon, one of the owners of 3Motion, said the following: "MultiPress was important to us at the time because we saw it as a kind of switching point for all the separate departments or all the different flows that were present in our company. And that was just what we needed. Due to the fact that we produce a very large range of products and that we also work very quickly, we need an overview and clear information available to all departments within our company. And we really did find that in MultiPress at that time."

3Motion started in 2022 with the plan to use MultiPress to make the estimation process more precise and efficient, reduce the administrative burden, have a better overview of the production flow and link the webshop for even greater time savings. A year later, Femke already noticed the effect of MultiPress: "We can see that MultiPress has effectively had its impact on the organisation in the year we have been working on. For one thing, because of that transparent planning. We know where everything is at any moment, so we can switch very well and we have a good overview. We can also look to make last-minute changes if necessary, which does come in handy regularly in our market. On the other hand, we see that because everything is now nicely linked, that processing times really drop."
