Megaprint

Digital printing company Megaprint finally finds suitable ERP/MIS software: MultiPress!

Megaprint, the first print business in Norway to invest in digital large format printing, had been looking for the suitable replacement for their FileMaker software for their administration management for more than 5 years. Continuing to invest to upgrade their existing solution no longer proved feasible nor profitable. Yet they never found the suitable business software that really met their needs. Until, via the FESPA fair, they tracked down Dataline and the ERP/MIS software MultiPress.

No one is too small, no one is too big

Megaprint was founded in 1994. They were the first company in Norway to invest in digital large format printing and today they are undeniably a leading player in the country in this field. Print production takes place at their state-of-the-art premises in Røyken, near Oslo. The company has 20 employees.

Its visual communication solutions, such as banners, flags, wallpaper, facade and illuminated advertising, are supplied to customers ranging from large international companies to chain companies, agencies and exhibition organisers. But a client could also be the local sports team or the kiosk on the corner. No one is too small, no one is too big.

The modular nature of MultiPress

To manage its administration, the Norwegian company used a Filemaker system set up by an internal employee. When the employee left, maintenance and customisation was taken over by an external company. Unfortunately, that customisation was very expensive to maintain and, moreover, the programme still lacked many functionalities, including planning facilities. The existing automation system and webshop worked well, but were not connected to the Filemaker system. For an ambitious company like MegaPrint, that simply wasn't good enough.

After visiting the FESPA fair, Dataline organised a MultiPress demo tailored to Megaprint's production. And with success! Company executives were impressed by the extensive functionality andmodular nature of the business software.

  • Besides the ease of calculating and communicating supply, they loved the planning and registration tool, with the Montage app as the icing on the cake.
  • The ability to link MultiPress directly to transport companies with the Transport Connectivity module was also seen as a clear added value.
  • Finally, MegaPrint also activated MultiPress's B2B Customer Portal, as this allows a 24/7 customer portal to be linked to their own website.

In this way, Dataline continues its expansion in Scandinavia with MultiPress. And MegaPrint saves a lot of time and money. Not a superfluous luxury, but a useful necessity.
