Script Laser chooses smarter calculations and a scalable workflow with MultiPress MIS/ERP

Script Laser began 30 years ago as a small copy shop and developed into a versatile print company with a strong digital and large-format offering. As activities expanded, the need for a more powerful MIS/ERP system became increasingly clear. In this testimonial, you will read how MultiPress perfectly aligns with their way of working and helps them to further build their growth.

Three decades of growth and the need for a reliable system

What started as a busy copy shop for students grew into a steady partner for businesses, from start-ups to international organisations. With modern production such as Zünd cutting systems, Ricoh digital presses and SwissQprint flatbed printers, Script Laser continuously invests in technology and a user-friendly online service.

The flip side of that growth? An increasingly complex order flow. With many small online orders and a volume of around 2,500 jobs per month, their existing software proved insufficient. They sought a system that makes their work simpler, not heavier.

MultiPress aligns seamlessly with their business operations

During the search for a new MIS/ERP, MultiPress stood out for its flexibility and the way it connects with the specific processes of Script Laser. Where other systems were difficult to integrate or too rigid, MultiPress offered exactly what they were missing:

  • Full API integrations
MultiPress can link directly with their webshops and customer portals. Orders, customer data and files arrive automatically, eliminating manual transfers. For a company with many small jobs, this provides a massive time saving.
  • Central and consistent price structure
Thanks to the extensive price management, Script Laser finally works without Excel. MultiPress automatically links the correct rates to products and calculates the correct price per print run. Paper, formats, grammages and product types are managed centrally, making every quote reliable and uniform.
  • Production time management that fits a busy floor
MultiPress distributes work based on capacity and required time. The planning cards show the status of paper, files, press occupancy and delivery date at a glance. In the event of changes, the system automatically adjusts the total production time, meaning planners have to communicate less on an ad-hoc basis.

For Script Laser, this meant a system that follows their workflow as it actually is, rather than the other way around.

An implementation that grows with the company

The roll-out took place in several phases. In the first phase, Script Laser chose quotes, stock management and a customer portal. This quickly ensured faster lead times and a lower administrative burden.

In the following phase, CRM and full production time management followed. This allows them to plan even more accurately and inform customers proactively.

Daniel Bouyerden, co-director at Script Laser, summarises it well: MultiPress offers exactly the mix of flexibility and structure they need. Not only because it is technically strong, but also thanks to the personal guidance and follow-up by Dataline.

With MultiPress, Script Laser has a system that grows with their ambitions and helps them to further strengthen their position in the competitive print market.
