Environmentally conscious print business 72/78 chooses MultiPress

Paris-based 72/78 is also known as the Swiss army knife of offline communication. With good reason, because not only can you come to them for a wide range of small- and large-format printing, their team of communication specialists is always ready to work out the best communication strategy for you. To further distinguish themselves as a quality service provider in the printing market, they are looking for a way to optimise their administration and production workflow. To do so, they first used all kinds of island solutions of software, but after calculating cost savings with the MicroMAS, Dataline's audit tool, MultiPress quickly emerged as the ideal solution.

Sustainability as top priority

72/78 is a successful merger of the French companies Contrast, specialising in large format printing, and Numerix, specialising in small format printing. Together they combine their expertise as specialists in small- and large-format printing where 1 word is central: innovation. They make every effort to find the best printing technique and make the printing process as smooth as possible.

Their product range in their small-format printing department includes, for example, business and promotional print jobs, through-packaging and also finishing techniques such as binding, gilding, shape cutting, embossing, etc. Their large-format printing department is very diverse: from banners, facade lettering, outdoor and illuminated advertising to graphics and displays to car wrapping and finally office design. In addition, 72/78 also takes care of the decoration of your event stand: from decoration to goodies and even augmented printing with which you can make print jobs come to life with one swipe of your smartphone.

Sustainability is a top priority within 72/78. With their Label 28 philosophy, they are committed to reducing the environmental impact of their production: reducing or reusing print and paper waste, printing the right amount, choosing environmentally conscious suppliers and committed partners and, as icing on the cake, adopting a circular production chain rather than a linear one. This means they use as much material waste and/or discarded communication materials as possible to make new products.

This is partly why it is important for them to invest in the optimisation of the administrative and production workflow, because the smoother and more faultless the printing process is, the fewer errors and the less waste. For that optimisation, however, 72/78 used all kinds of island solutions.

For instance, they had Masterprint software in use, but that software lacked automatic follow-up for installation. The management software Sage 100 had neither customised CRM nor web management and the ERP software Graphisoft was not adapted for the combination of small and large format printing. So more than one reason to look out for one overarching solution that could address all these issues.

72/78 does the MicroMAS

72/78 had already heard of MultiPress and already knew from its many reference users in France that the MultiPress software is the best ERP solution for large-format printing companies. To get a better overview of the benefits of MultiPress, they used MicroMAS, an audit tool developed by Dataline to calculate the cost and time savings with MultiPress. The results were astounding!

With MultiPress, the company would save as much as 45 hours or 1665 euros each month on the basic administration of quotations and invoices.

Besides cost and time savings, the company also needed a better CRM and a highly connected software in general. All aspects of the print production process through to installation need to be linked. MultiPress does just that and much more.

The modular MultiPress software

72/78 starts with MultiPress's most important basic modules:

The advantage of the modular nature of the MultiPress software is that 72/78 can already properly manage key business processes with a basic investment, eliminating the main drawbacks of previous island solutions. In the future, they can build on this with several more expansion options to further optimise administration and production workflow. In this way, they are fulfilling their ambition to keep innovating.
