Logos speeds up administration with MultiPress

In the heart of Ostend in Belgium, a trusted name in the world of lettering, car wrapping and other indoor and outdoor publicity has stood since 1983: Logos Ostend. The sign company urgently needed a business software that better suited their specific needs and the ERP/MIS software MultiPress ticked every box!

Full-service sign company for lettering and car wrapping

In the heart of Ostend, there has been a trusted name in the world of lettering, car wrapping and other indoor and outdoor advertising since 1983: Logos Ostend. Logos understands that every project is unique, as it often revolves around personalised layouts. Therefore, it guarantees bright, stylish, unique and durable results that adorn the streetscape. This is made possible through the use of modern and advanced digital sign and lettering techniques and machines: Epson SureColor S80600, Summa D140, Suma 30420, Laminator Evo 160.

The team at Logos is not only adept at layout but can also expertly place any creation, a service from layout to assembly. Some of its satisfied clients include depannage SOS, for whom we provided stickers, and construction group Versluys, for whom we realised outdoor advertising. These collaborations are illustrative of the diversity and quality of services that Logos Ostend offers to its valued clients.

Outdated ERP caused problems

Logos faced a significant challenge with their outdated ERP programme Gofaso:

Where the programme was most deficient was undoubtedly in cost calculation. It lacked a seamless link with supplier prices, so they had to enter them manually. Moreover, there was no clear explanation of how prices were calculated, which led to confusion. There was also little understanding of production times, resulting in often arbitrary estimates. For more complex calculations, estimates first had to be made on paper and then manually entered into the system. Even to quickly calculate prices during a no-obligation phone call with a customer, employees had to create a sheet and file.

Another pain point was the status of orders. Users only had access to their own orders, which made coordinated operation more difficult. Scheduling was done via Trello and Google Calendar, and there was no specific system for capacity planning. Inventory management was still done the 'old-fashioned' way via Excel, which was dependent on experience and subject to errors, resulting in inaccuracies. Statements also showed inaccuracies, giving Logos a distorted view of performance and progress.

These challenges highlighted the urgent need for a more sophisticated ERP/MIS software that better suited Logos' specific needs. An integrated approach, complemented by targeted training, would enable Logos to work more efficiently and significantly improve the quality of their services. And then Logos came knocking on the door of Dataline, the developer of the ERP/MIS software MultiPress.

Cost and time savings with MultiPress

Thanks to the seamless integration of MultiPress, Logos was able to make significant savings of more than EUR 1,500 per month on administration costs. And with Dataline's training model, the Logos team uses the full potential of the software and makes optimal use of all available functions. Indeed, Dataline strives to ensure that their clients are fully familiar with using MultiPress.

The specific modules offered by MultiPress have taken Logos to a new level:

  • First of all, there is the advanced scheduling module, which makes it possible to make the best use of available resources. This has led to a much more efficient workflow and better capacity utilisation.
  • Another crucial module is the Calculation Wizard, which significantly simplifies complex calculations. This eliminates the need to make estimates on paper and then enter them manually. This results in significant time savings and reduces the risk of errors.
  • Finally, MultiPress's API connectivity has enabled seamless integration with other key systems, such as their accounting software Exact. This has optimised information flows between different departments and created a more streamlined and integrated working environment.

All in all, the switch to MultiPress for Logos has not only resulted in significant cost savings, but has also led to a significant improvement in efficiency and productivity. MultiPress's thorough training capabilities and powerful modules have given Logos a competitive edge in the dynamic world of print and advertising.
